Americas Best Inns and Suites is Spacious

It's a great find

Americas Best Inns and Suites was a welcomed surprise! And just in time. The Island had been busy due to Mardi gras, 250,000 people showed up!

The room I was in was small. I didn’t mind too much. This trip I was traveling alone. But more room is better.

When rates dropped, I was out of there! None too soon I needed space.

The Inn's Suites are spacious. And the bathroom is big!

I love all that room when you get out of the shower. Don’t you? There’s nothing to bump while drying off.

The location is perfect

There is a grocery store across the street. Randall’s, it is really nice. I would compare it to Kroger’s. It’s fun to just walk round in there. There is a Starbucks inside too.

It’s probably three hundred feet to it doorway. Love it when I don’t need to drive!

Nearby are restaurants you can walk to; Waffle House, Healthy Chinese Buffet, Taco Cabana, McDonald's.

A short drive from Americas Best Inns and Suites is a Walgreen's- Oh; Galveston’s famous Cajun Greek restaurant is near there too.

The crowds tell you all you need to know. You need to beat the rush.

Of course Wal Mart is nearby.

If you don't know it's here you'll miss it

The motel is off the main highway. There are no signs for it on the main street.

That makes it perfect for us fellow travelers!

Our secret motel. Big rooms, conveniences nearby and good rates!

This room had a connecting a room. It’s perfect traveling with teens. Or travel with extended family.

My room had a king size bed and convertible couch. It may be a little dated. It’s roomy, clean, and comfortable and the price is right!

The carpet and air conditioner look newer. There were no smells from the a/c. Even on the heat setting. The door is solid and has good locks on it.

Got a weekly rate of $230.00 including tax

Americas Best Inns and Suites has a tiny breakfast bar. It has cereal and sweet rolls.

There is WI-Fi. The signal varied at times but it's fine.

If you like to bargain, well. I bet you get a better rate. But don’t try over the phone. Wait until you arrive at the desk. Why? A fairly empty parking lot can be a strong bargaining chip!

Also if you stay a week or more, ask how often maid service comes. For me it was twice a week. You might get a better deal!

Americas Best Inns and Suites has a few quarks: missing bar to hang clothes on. There is an alcove for it, but no bar. Hum! No coffee maker or table in my room.

That 'no table' seems weird.

I'll definitely come back

There is no ocean view. But there isn’t tons of traffic either. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the seawall.  Or a quick ride to one of the beaches.

I enjoyed this motel. An airy room, spacious bathroom are great. And there’s plenty of room for visitors.

My cousin came a week after later. He took the roll-out couch. It was like a teen sleep over! Catching up till early morning hours, pizza and cold beer. Ah the simple life.
