Mosquito Cafe One of The Best in Houston Metropolitan Area!

The Mosquito Cafe opened in 1999. Since then it has been voted best by Galveston County residents. In addition to the locals vote of confidence, *Zagat Survey selected Mosquito Cafe as one of the top 15 restaurants in Houston Metropolitan Area.

Wow! That covers a lot of area!

We Have to Agree!

Without a doubt this is some of the best food we’ve had. While breakfast can often cost $12 plus. It is worth every dollar. You can easily spend nearly $20 for breakfast. But average is about $16-$20. Of course it depends on how hungry you are!

It is a walk up counter service. So tipping isn't required. But the employees do a wonderful job. And they do bring your dishes to you when they're ready. Often they will get refills for you, if they're not too busy. That is a rarity. We always leave a tip for the extra help and pleasant smiles

Because it is so highly recommended, ordering can be slow. The order line slows usually by new people. It is just because they don’t know how to order. Or do not know what to order. However food is worth any wait you may have.

Hands down this is the best food all around. The Cafe does have some beer, wine. Along with some fresh baked goods. (There is great bakery next door called Patty Cakes).

The Cafe has an open airy feel. The woodwork is nice. And wooden tables and chairs give it a country or Amish feel.

The dish I had was a fresh local Filet of Flounder. It was sauteed with a piece of melted cheese. It was perfect. It came with two sides I chose the pasta salad w/ veggies and the salad with great champagne vinaigrette.

The Cafe is opened daily for breakfast and lunch.

Open for Dinner Thursday through Saturday.
