When you leave the Sky Bar, you may want to take the chef home!

Sky bar is a great little place on Post Office Street in between 22st and 21st.

I personally don't eat sushi. Anyone who does this is the place they brag about.

The bar is a great place to sit with your wife or date. Here have a few drinks. And enjoy some terrific appetizers, and entrees.

They have a great Happy Hour which includes half price sushi and appetizers M-F 5-7, and Sat 10pm-Midnight.

The staff is young and friendly. A lot of them are students at Texas A&M in Galveston. Texas A&M has a campus here. It is geared toward the shipping or maritime industry.

Sarah and I shared the calamari and a ravioli appetizer

I can't come here and not eat the calamari. Plus it comes with a great seven spiced dipping sauce. The sauce is amazing.

The ravioli are filled with cheese. Then they are lightly fried. It comes with a spicy warm mayo dipping sauce. I know. The mayo sounds weird but it is so good.

Sarah had sushi salmon rolls.

She asks for them prepared without sesame seed and extra guacamole. She loved the great job the chef did preparing her sushi.

I had the Chicken Katsu. Actually it’s not listed on the menu at dinner only at lunch. But they will still make it for you anytime.

Chicken Katsu is lightly breaded fried chicken breast.

It is served with sweet mayo sauce on top. It tastes kind of like butter. But it is better and creamier. It is served atop a bed of fried rice. I love this dish and could eat it all the time.

This is a great Galveston Restaurant.

During the happy hour, we got out for about $40. Add the tip. The total was about $50. It was a lot of food.

I would have been fine with my $10 Chicken Katsu by itself. Leave Sky Bar Steak and Sushi and return to Galveston Travel and Charm Homepage.
